CHEAP WALTHER PP's: Oh Yes!
Hi guys and Gals!
Some good news! Just purchased one of those Police Trade-in Walther PP's, imported recently into the United States(that you see advertised in Shotgun News, Gunlist, etc.) I have to say, that for the money they are very undervalued. Mine came with an 8 round finger-extension Walther marked clip, the original numbered to the gun, albiet beat up Alligator box, and a cleaning rod. My gun was manufactured in 1969 (sorry not a C&R). To my suprise it wasn't too beat up and the bore is very good to excellent. Dealer on them is about $235.00. I paid $299.95, which is a steal. If you want a shooter this is a perfect carry/home defense gun! I like to pass allong good deals when I hear about them! The only drawback is that at this price, they are selling fast. The importer mark is very small right under the slide on the frame. Tim |
another source for a cheap PP...
I just noticed that Aim Surplus has some 60s-70s 32ACP PPs in stock in very good condition for around 200 bucks.
I inherited my Grandfather's PP that he bought on a European business trip in the early 30s. It was made in the old Walther factory in Zella-Mellis (spelling?) and has ivory-colored plastic grips with the Walther banner. I have the original box and instruction booklet (in German) and two spare magazines. It is a wonderful shooter in fantastic shape and will even feed Silvertips. I have no idea what its worth, but I'll bet it is a good collectable. You'll love the PP in 32ACP. They're as accurate as a Makarov, but easier on your wrist. (not as "snappy") -SA |
