Re: Art's Grip Cleaning Method...
Thanks Dok for posting my info. So far I have had positive direct responses and no negatives. As a result of my original post one guy, being reluctant to "do it himself", sent me a near mint pair of grips to restore. They were just dirty and a bit oil stained. A one hour soak and no oil or other treatment is all I did to them. I just received a note from him. He says they look mint like the rest of the Luger and do not look cleaned up. I didnt charge him for the service. I hope others find the method useful.

Tried it on one set of grips. Works Great. (EOM)

Re: Art's Grip Cleaning Method...
I've used Art's method on about seven or eight pairs of grips over the past ten years and am totally satisfied.I like them a little on the dark side, so in the final step, I usually give them a light coat of " pre-64 " rifle stock stain.
