replacing a barrel on a shooter

I'm wondering if it's difficult to replace a barrel of a luger.
Are special tools needed? I'm not planning to to this on my gun, I'm just curious.

Yes. ;)

Postino is absolutely correct. It is DIFFICULT and requires SPECIAL TOOLS to prevent damage to the Luger upper receiver and the barrel... If you have never done it before, It is NOT recommended that you try this at home with anything but a shooter class gun AFTER you have obtained the proper receiver wrench and a barrel vise. Additionally, if you don't have a finishing chambering reamer and headspace guages, it is also NOT recommended for the average tinkerer.

I posted pics of both the barrel vise and receiver wrench I bought secondhand in another thread like this one...Shouldn't be too hard to find... ;)
