Machining mark on 1917

Can anyone let me know how come I can't find any machining mark on my 1917 DWM Luger? Is the machining mark present on every Luger from any era?

Thanks in advance.

I mean the marks that can normally found in this area. Mine DWM can find no trace of it...

Simply made on a good day with someone taking a little extra time on the machining..

Vernonsmith, your LP08 bears the machining marks commonly seen on 1917's. They are straight and not circular.
