S. H. 112 on the front strap of a double date Weimar Era rework.... Police marking?

Karl, nice luger! According to Don Maus' History Writ in Steel, page 140, you have a "Schupo Hannover" police luger. Don says these markings can be somewhat confusing. Also, your "police" luger seems a bit unusual, as it does not possess a sear safety, one very common feature of police lugers. Perhaps others, including Don, will comment.

Karl, drbuster has the marking id nailed! The lack of a sear safety means the pistol was issued to a barracked Schupo Bereitschaft (younger reserve police, sort of like a SWAT Team). These police were taken into the military in 1934-36 and their Lugers were excepted from the 1933 order to add sear and mag safeties to police Lugers.
