New stainless Lugers staill available?

Last year I was told that one could still buy a 'new' stainless Luger on a spl. order from a online company. Search as I may, I have never found such a company. any thoughts?
Tks,Bill

Yes, be careful. These stainless lugers are not known for their quality of workmanship and durability.

Yes, there is still such a company? or that the Mitchell/Stoeger stainless Lugers, in general, are of poor quaility. If there is still a maker, what is the manufactures name?
Thanks,Bill

No, they don't make them anymore. They were made by AIMCO for both Mitchell and then Stoeger. The early Mitchell’s did have some metallurgy problems which was supposedly addressed and corrected. Don’t confuse the Mitchell I speak of with that of Mitchell’s Mausers – totally different animal. As to their functioning and quality, it’s pure opinion. I have a Navy Stoeger that I’ve had absolutely no problems with, and an Erfurt that I did a happy dance to get rid of. I do like the ergonomics and functioning of pre 1945 non-swiss lugers more, but honestly comparing the two is apples and oranges.
