markings
Dear Experts
If a matching imperial military luger was also used in WWII, would it usually bear some sort of later markings in addition to its initial imperial proofs? Asked the other way around, if a matching 1916 DWM luger bears no markings beyond the normal imperial markings, is it likely that it was not used by the Wehrmacht? Thanks, Jeff |
Many lugers were used in WW2 that never recieved any nazi markings...
Ones issued or bought by / to an officer or an NCO who had it before the nazi's would likely not receive anything, or those that were put in storage. Or you'll find a WW1 w/ Weimar AND Nazi markings; it all depends on if it went through any official channels / reburb etc., if it needed anything done to it... Ed |
Thanks!
