Distinguishing rear toggles?

Dear Experts

Is there any sure way to distinguish a very early DWM Imperial rear toggle from a late Mauser rear toggle?

Thanks,
Jeff

DWM rear toggle links usually have numeric inspector marking on the bottom. Late Mausers will usually have the "R in W" inspectors marking. Also the checkering of the toggles is different. See chapter 1 page 38 of Gibson's "The Kreighoff Parabellum". TH

I am assuming you are questioning the authenticity of the DWM marking on the toggle top? The proof markings on the mid link are also different
