Third Reich Luger by Jan Still Any Good?
Just checking can anyone shed some lights on the Third Reich Lugers from Jan Still. I am ready to buy this book online but due to price reason and have never viewed the book I just want to know if it is really worth the dollars.
Are there many colour photos in it or mainly black and white. Is anyone able to put up a review of this book? Or if there are more details about this book somewhere on the forums that I couldn't find? Or there if there is any review about this book on the internet that I can have a read? Thanks in advance. |
Top book. If you collect Nazi Parabellums, it's a must. Black & white though. This book is a collectible by itself.

Alvin pretty much summed it up. Jans whole series is a must for any serious collector. You will not be disapointed in the information contained in it. John

Fantastic book.

I have four of Still's books. I don't buy anything without first consulting them. They are full of information collectors need.

Jan is redoing the book and it will be mostly in color, however, it will be at least 6 months before it is released for sale, perhaps longer.

Interesting Ed, i always wondered if a newer color version would be in the works, sounds great :) Agree with pretty much what the other folks have said. If you're into that era, it's THE book to have, if you could only own one.

Jan sold his books directly for around $70. As soon as they were out of print, and he had sold out (sometimes before), they would be listed for $200 to $300+.

Just my 2 cents,
I own four of Jan's books: Imperial Lugers, Weimer Lugers, Third Reich Lugers, and his latest, Central Powers Pistols. Not a single day goes by without my looking through one these books for one reason or another. They are nearly priceless in my opinion. Mike |
Thanks everyone. I've just got myself a Third Reich Luger.
