Interarms Mauser mags
Tried out my new Interarms Mauser today. It won't load from it's own mags. Any other mag is fine but not the ones it came with. Was there a problem that year?
BTW: Nice tight group at 15 yrds. FN |

Please give me more detail as to why they won't load. Are you loading from a full mag? What are the OALs of the cartridges you are trying to feed? Thanks! Sieger |
Full mag. Cartridges loaded 1.160, bolt will not strip the cartridge out. Even with a partial, 5rds. load. Perhaps, sometime in the past, the mag ears were damaged or bent. This is with both mags that came with it, new in the box.
The pistol works fine with, Erfurt, fxo, and macgar magazines. FN |

Load the magazine with one round only. Will one round feed from the magazine? Will one round fire and activate the hold-open device? Sieger PS: May be an accute OAL problem. |
Same ammo, different mags, everything worked fine. I've gauged the 'ears' on the mags, the Interarms is .0010 bigger. BUT the spring is a lot stiffer. I think that might be the difference. Maybe take a turn or two off the mag spring.

Good decision. Early Mauser magazines are 'not too good' :)

Parabellum springs needed still!!!??
Hi to all, I'm still looking for a few original Parabellum mag springs to test for replacement spring options! Not the,"Made in Holland," mag springs.. but Mauser Parabellum springs... I'll buy or trade... people who trade with me usually come away happy! :D Best to all, til....lat'r....GT;)

Gt et al, I seem to remember a past posting on this forum (or in Austomag) showing correstpondence between Mauser and the Dutch maker of their Parabellum mags, about the poor quality. As I recall it went into great detail about rejection rates and specifics of the problems. TH

mag issues
Hi Thomas, I'm beginning to believe there was more to it then we realize... the Interarms,"Made in Holland", mags have a different and considerably weaker spring then the issued Mauser mags... The extreme spring tension in the issue Mauser mags was probably a catch all to overcome function issues that most likely plauged the pistol design through out it's production life... The ' "Made in Holland", mags were probably made to appeal to a less sensitive market , old and new..... It remains unsolved for 100% reliable function... may stay that way... time will tell...Best to all, til...lat'r...GT
BTW, BTW, I need some Mauser para springs!!! Help... Help...Help.. hel...he...h..... ....... .. |
GT, You already have my only loose Parabellum mag spring. The only others are in complete magss. TH
