Interarms Mauser

I haven't had the opportunity to play or look over the Interarms Luger in person. I've always wanted one but a nagging question has stopped me from buying.

Does the Interarms Mauser have the same problem as the early Lugers which is accidental discharge when the sear bar is depressed?

Same functional structures, and same behavior. No firing pin safety.

If that bothers you then you must really hate Glocks.

Well, as a matter of fact, I do not like glock pistols. My conceal pistols are a 1968 Belgium made Browning Hi-Power (favorite), Sig P220 or Sig P226SCT. These three brands of pistols have/are used by current military Special Operations Units. You will not find a Glock in Military inventory. The Glock doesn't fit in my hands comfortably and even loaded, feels like a toy. I also don't care for the safety on the trigger.

Like all firearms, its a perspective and choice by each persons needs.

. Most police versions have a sear safety. i.e. when the side plate is off, the sear is locked.

In this sequence I would consider safety's effectiveness (from weaker to stronger):

. Trigger safety, e.g. grip safety on many Browning designed pistols;
. Sear safety and Hammer safety, I would consider they are at almost same level. e.g. Luger's manual safety, C96's safety level, 1911's manual safety, etc. Many old pistols fall into this category;
. Firing pin safety, e.g. P38's safety. Advanced design at that time, and popluar post WWII.
