This is the second 1906 that I traded for. It is a 9mm Commercial not intended for the US market because it has a blank chamber. This one is a bid nicer than the American Eagle I posted a couple of days ago. Estimated production was 3500-4000 units. At the office now and just noticed that the pic is HUGE!! Will try to fix tonight.

I have that same lighter blue under the safety of my AE. What caused that and is that an original nuance?

The area under the safety on the 1906 AE is lightly routed out following the basic outline of the safety lever and polished 'in the white'. It is supposed to let you know that you have the safety on even though the fact that the grip safety won't move is a pretty good indicator in itself. Does this one also have the 'LOADED' marked extractor? (Nice pistol and nice picture).

Yes, both of the 06 Eagles that I have are marked "Loaded".
