Matching Magazine

Hello Forum Members,

I am a new member and have purchased a 1937 Mauser BYF S/42 and am interested to see if I can locate the matching magazine. 7551 t. I quickly looked through the inventory of Luger Forum Members and didn't see the matching one there.

I would appreciate any direction you can provide me.

Thanks.

Finding a matching mag is an almost impossible task. It does happen but not often. Don Hallock has a list of mags. Can't seem to find his email. By the way your 1937 luger is not a BYF. The s42 code was replaced by a code 42 and then by BYF in 1941. Good luck in your search. Welcome to the forum. Bill Try drh@oz.net

Thank you for your help...and clarification. I figured it might be difficult!

SS, To be a correct matching magazine (only 2 ever made are correct) in addition to the matching 4 digit number it MUST also have the correct suffix letter (if present on the gun) and the correct WaA on the aluminum bottom of your folded blued tube. If you can find the correct type mag with the matching WaA to your pistol, in the right suffix letter block (1 of 10,000), I'd say you were doing well. TH

Luger Doc,

Thank you for the info.

I guess I was optimistic when I thought I was searching for a needle in a haystack!
