Hi everyone I was a bit bored tonight so I disassembled my 1910 and took photos of all the markings. I am still new at the luger scene so any lessons you guys want to give me on the letters that are stamped inside the pistol, on the toggle under the hold open and the purpose of the V on the firing pin Oh and also the M on the extractor I would appreciate the lesson.

Nice Luger you got there.

The "44" are the last two digits in the serial number and are supposed to be stamped on most of the orginal parts of the pistol. Yours seems to be "match numbered".

The proof mark on the last picture indicate that your 1910 was send back to the factory in 1913 to have the hold open added. The German army did´nt want the hold open at first but they changet their minds in 1913 and had it added in most of the previusly made pistols. Thei also had the front sight changed at the same time and the front sight base should also have similar stamp.

As Ingvarg mentioned above your HO was a later addition, so is Imperal marked as well as serialized. Most of the other scattered letters on your parts are inspector's markings. TH

I was familiar with what most of the markings are I understand that the 44 is the last 2 of the serial number I was just curious if the other markings could shed any more light on the pistol. I appreciate the comments.
