i currently have 6 lugers- 3 1936 and 3 interarms

all are matching sets. my q is, should i obtain the expendable, breakable parts--firing pin, extractor, etc. and use one as a shooter? if that costs about as much as just buying a shooter, i won't be surprised. thanks, tom austin

OK, this might sound foolish, but are the 3 and 3 different from each other? If they are close to identical, and if it were me, I'd sell one of each and get a nice shooter plus some extras for the others. If however they are each individual collectibles...please ignore my comments;)

jonnyc, i'm still learing about the differences and don't really know enough yet to

pick one to sell. I have two .30cal interarms and only 5070 were made. just as others have said," man i had one and just sold it. i wish i had it back......". so i would probably keep what i have for now and consider my original plan...

OK, just a thought.

If your 1936's are collelctable guns, then "swapping" out any breakable parts would be many parts, and I don't see how it is worth it?

If collectable and nice guns and you break a numbered part, you essentially have taken a $1200-$1500 gun and made it shooter status, taking its value to less than half....

BTW how did you end up with 3 1936's?

ed, i've got my ear to the ground. i don't know why i took a

fancy initially, but i sure do like that year. i keep hearing how the quality began to decline in subsequent years and i felt that would be a solid year to collect. if i am wrong, please bring me up to date.

i do want to get a shooter but am in no particular hurry.

i really enjoy your work and your comments.

What kind of variation do you have between 3 1936 Lugers?
