a movie worth seeing Max Manus (2008)

Would recommend everyone to rent/buy this movie on DVD/Blue ray when it get's released! Max Manus

It's based on true historical events from ww2 and is the most expensive movie made here in norway until now. Worth every second:)

Info: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1029235/

I'll bet the people in Oslo weren't too thrilled to see the Swastika flying over the Norwegian Parlament Stortinget...(then or now)... :D

:D It's just crazy that they where allowed to do that!! Not computer graphic or anything, they actually hung up the Swastika on our parlament for several hours.

Naturly an until now unknown writer (not historian) had to grasp the chance for publisity, claiming that he (Max Manus) didn't see any real battle during the war in Finland as the movie starts up with.. According to an iterview with Max's wife in the 90's, he never spoke of his time in the winterwar to anyone, just was awake night after night thinking of it. He was a true hero, very few here in norway knew of him before this movie.
I can recomend it:)

A "must see" movie and one for Norwegians to be proud. Many of the younger generation know nothing of the courage and sacrifice of people like Max Manus. Thanks to the Norwegian movie industry to make this known to the rest of the world.
