needing some professional opinions on Black Grips

Tom and All;
I'm getting a commercial 9mm Luger ready to sell but first want to check the approx. value of the grips. Are these WW2 items or knock-offs? All have a threaded hole for a grip screw.
I have one BYF 42 BW (which I believe to be unmolested) to compare grips with and can't tell any appreciable difference.
Here are photos of the grips on the commercial (and Tom you have already seen these). The first 4 photos are of the grips in question, the remainder are off the BYF 42. Opinions welcomed.

I like the way they look ,second pair. Have to have in hand to make a positive ID. Some people use hot water to see if they become soft and that would mean fake.

black grips

IMHO, I dont like the first set, second set look fine... The first set look like they are less sharp, front and rear. I also dont like to see pinholes.

Take each pair and tap the grips together. Fakes will give a dull sound. Real ones will give a sharp clacking sound. If you have one real pair and a bad pair you be able to easily hear the difference.

Based only on the photographs, I would be very suprised if the first set are genuine. Too rough in finish... probably cast in plastic from a genuine set.

The second set are the real thing IMHO.
