My apology to the Forum

In one of my recent posts I had made a statement about a particular faith that was inappropriate not only on this Forum but all places and I am sorry. I could have made my point without using the words I used. At the time I was a little angry since I had just lost my job.

I ask all of you who may have read my post to forgive me. It will not happen again.

Sincerly,
Dale

Dale, apology accepted; we all blow off every now and then, but it takes a real man (or woman) to admit they are wrong.

Good luck on your job hunting, I have been there...

Thank you Ed. I do feel bad about the post. I hope the other Forum Members will forgive me also.

Dale..I noticed your post and like Ed..It is tough to apologize although I have done it here more than once.
Hang in there..These are times that will try mens souls...We many times utter things under stress we don't mean.

It is history now, best not repeated. Thanks for your public apology. It takes a real personal adjustment to make an admission when you are wrong.

I would like to take this opportunity to ask all members to take a moment to FIND the Terms of Service and Forum Decorum for using this website... and refresh their own memory on what is and is not acceptable behavior. Consider it a treasure hunt! :)

From another Brother to One. Thank you Sir for being enough of a person to make the apology. I belong to a number of gun boards, this forum is such a pleasure to read. Everyone walks the high road.
Best to all, Pitsword

Respect..

VN Vet, hey, you have my respect twice!! First and formost for being a surviving viet nam vet... No small feat in itself... And second, for your heart felt humility... ( and I don't know or care what you said prior to this!) It's easy to see you are a quality person... You'll find both brothers and friends here... Best to all, til...lat'r....GT :jumper:

Dale:

I missed your original comment, so I really don't know the context or subject matter.:o

In my experienced opinion, over the next four years or so, we all may say and do some things that we may not be proud of later.:crying:

It's the times we are living in.:banghead: Anyway, I hope you can find a cashflow soon. Have you considered self-employment?:)

I simply cannot imagine how anyone could make an offensive comment...nah, can't imagine it.

I have noticed in my life that thru the trials and tribulations of just making a living and supporting a family, everyone has one of those, "foot in mouth" episodes. I am no different. It's refreshing to see someone who has made a misstep then take responsibility to rectify the error.

I hope you find peace, happiness and yes, employment.

Douglas Jr. 04-23-2009 11:24 AM

Dale,

I didn't see your comment, but I agree with the others about your public apology.
But I'm here to mostly to talk about your unemployment as I had faced this problem a few times and I know how tough it can be.

Be sure you will find a new position as no one stays without a job forever. Keep calm and self-confident as I'm sure that you have talent and skills that are needed somewhere. Don't feel embarassed to tell your friends about your situation, bear in mind that your network is the most important tool at this moment. Call everyone: former co-workers, family, neighbours, etc. and let them know that your are seeking a new position. You'd be surprised how receptive they can be.

It doesn't mean that you are begging neither that you are desperate. You just need to know where the oportunities are, that's how networking works.

You've been in a real war - that was tough. This will be a piece of cake, believe me.

Good luck!

Douglas
