Unusual Bring Back
I just examined a 1937 S/42 Luger serial number 8601T.
All matching, including grips but with an Erma "Made in Germany" marked wood bottom mag. The gun is heavely buffed and high polish reblued, but here is the kicker; It comes with VIETNAM bring back papers! Anybody seen this before? Booster Alert!! As an aside, I was going through my Dad's wartime papers last night, which my mother just sent me and came across a BLANK war trophy document! Anybody ever see one of those before? |

French left some Lugers, P-38s and BHPs in Vietnam..... and one school, seventeen jails.
=== Back around one year ago, there was a report of Chinese public security captured a local business man (a gun lover). The collection included some rare guns in the region, Luger & M16 etc. The initial source was black market in northern Vietnam. Will post a picture of the small collection if I can find it. === Found it. Considering even owning airsoft being illegal there, this small collection is unusual in the context. |

Some of the early WW2 stuff was just typed; i.e if you have old paper like they used and a typewriter, you could fake it. Further, I have a copy of a blank JPG that I found on the internet several years ago, it could be used as fakery, but much easier to spot if printed out then typed onto.... So,buy the gun, not the story.... Ed |
About ten years ago there was a person selling original blanks at the October Tulsa Show. He seemed to be doing a brisk business.
