T'hanks for your insight Ed;
I don't plan to sell it. It was however, holding a byf 42. It was part of the "bring back" I inherited from my father. According to him both holster, Pistol, and accoutrements were handed over from a German officer. That about all I know. Is it possible the holster was original issue with the pistol? I can only assume the Reich would put any spares back in circ. If you look at my my album you will also see a photo showing a stamp representing a horizontal right facing arrow on the front of the holster, normally conceiled when the holster flap is closed. There are no other makers marks and I haven't yet been able to determin maker. |
