1921 & confused
I have had this 1921 Luger serial 962, all the rest match xcept the clip, for a while. I bought it from an old fellow that came back from Germany after the war w/2 items, his wife & this p08. I bought it & had to take the piano w/it. Sold the piano, sorry. Anyway he shot the officer & opened his trench coat & ripped the holster off w/the pistol. the straps are shot. Decent shape, & fires fine. What is it worth?

Hi Bob,
It all depends on condition. Can you post some good clear photos of it? Most are apprehesive about offering values without seeing it first. It could be worth anywhere from $600 to $2000 depending primarily on the condition. Does it have any unit marks on the grip strap(front of the grip), numbers or letters stamped into the metal? Ron |
Bob welcome to the forum.
As Ron said, without pictures and a better description (its a DWM on the toggle I presume?); it could be an army 1921 or a police... Value about the same, but many other factors, such as all matching (to include grips, firing pin, hold open), magazine matching, tool or extra magazine in the holster? Ed |
"shot the officer". Seems that in WW II these old pistols were carried by an "officer" who was always killed.
