1940 Police Holster Marking?
I have a holster made by Kern Klager & Cie Berlin. It has a Eagle over a circled Swastica. The Eagle has a B on the breast. Does anyone know what this means? Inside the flap is the ink marking W. Leipe that looks like it was made by a legible stamp. Inspector?
The gun with it is a double date, marked 1914/1920, Erfurt. It has unit markings crossed out from Merseburg and Opplin assignments. |
The Eagle B is a police acceptance stamp. There is a early and late one depending on the style of eagle. The name inside is probably the soldier who had it. Bill
