Look what Dad brought me.......
 

Hello all,

My first post but probably not my last. Well, it goes like this. All my life (or from when I can remember) I've drooled over my Fathers luger collection. I'm now 52 and he is 85 years young. He was in the Navy during WWII stationed on a little island in the Solomon chain for a couple of years... so I donâ??t know exactly how he came by his fascination of German lugers other than he just says he likes them... so who is to argue!

Anyway, he comes over one day and says he is tired of keeping them so If I want them... here ya go... Most of these have not seen the light of day for many years. I'll post more detailed photos if you guys want. But the line up is nine lugers, one PPK, two P38 and an odd Belgium made Browning in .32 cal.

A couple of the lugers would be classed as "shooters" I suppose. One is pretty darn near mint and another isnâ??t 9mm, but smaller I think and has a grip safety.... anyway they arenâ??t going anywhere and want to display them in some way.

Keith, Nice that you got an inheritance that you can enjoy maintaining and sharing with your Dad while he is still around. The Walther that you show is a PP rather than a PPK. The "Browning" is an FN 1922, probably make during the German occupation of the Herstal plant. Your grip safety luger appears to be a 7.65mmP M1906, but since there are many variations of these, some close up photos would be helpful to give you any further details. TH

Hey guys.... thanks for the comments! Lugerdoc, I will get better photos of one with the grip safety, but I believe you are correct. And thanks for the info on the Browning... interesting. Actually I'll get closer photos of all of them.

Ed, I dont believe any of them have any markings on the grip straps, but they all have many other markings.... again, I am remiss with the photos! :)
