Luger shot out of hand
In 'The Armourer Militaria Magazine' #88, there is an article of a Luger beeing shot out of a hand (the Luger has a bullet hole in front of the trigger bar)
Has anyone read this article? |

Tac,
If you are like me, I rejoice every time I find out something new...it shows that I'm not too old to learn! The down side is that some of the new stuff I am learning is stuff I had already forgotten. :) |
Tac, I beleve it's from the UK.. only trawling the top shelf eh? ;)
To be honest, I never heard of it eighter |

He won't be picking his nose for a very long time....
Magazine button seems to show that there were still a couple of rounds in the magazine. |
Had to take out fingers to elbow at a minimum.

Interesting. I've never been in a gunfight (thank God!), but have read that one tends to focus on the gun pointed at you. It seems that may have been what happened here, hence the bullet placement?

I had read the article.
It is a fantastic story from the last days of WW2 in Denmark. The author, Anders Thygesen, has done a great job! I will ask him if he want to share the story whit us on this forum. But I think there is a blocking period going on yet. (Consideration to 'The Armourer Militaria Magazine') reg. Sej-gun |
"The Armourer" is one of two Militaria mags that I am aware of published in the UK, the other being "Classic Arms & Militaria"
http://www.newsstand.co.uk/157-Milit...MILITARIA.aspx Both have been around for a while, and are quite good in content and quality, but tending more toward the 18th & 19th century periods. regards, Vince |

You never know, I'd think it was deflected some. I had a watch shot off in RVN-parted the expansion band and never left a scratch on me. It was a Zodiac Seawolf. |

Ron, that's exactly what happens to me. Frustrating, ain't it! BTW, how's that gun show you guys are about to have over there in a week or so. Is it worth the trip from Alpine to attend? Don't forget your offer to put me and all my relatives up for a week or two. <big grin> David |
Wow! I'm sure glad to read the rest of the story! Thanks very much.

David,
The show is this weekend. Like a lot of places, El Paso shows ain't what they used to be. But they do have their moments...you never know what will show up and at least there isn't a lot of flea market stuff that you see at some shows. If you do decide to make the trek from Alpine, I don't know how many of your relatives you can stack up on a queen-size bed, but we do have the spare bedroom that is available...and you can look over my junk if that has any appeal to you. Send me a PM with your email address so I can give you directions to the house and a phone number to coordinate logistics. Ron |
sej-gun,
