Tim -
You have a 1941 German 9mm Luger made by Mauser during the Third Reich. Apparently all the serial numbers which you can see do match except for the magazine. The "8,83" at the bottom of the barrel is the barrel gauge. If you are able to post any pictures, folks will be able to tell you more. Even without information about the condition, it is still a nice find. Mauser720 - Ron |
Welcome Tim,
It's one of the best made ;) Produced by Mauser in 1941. Everything sounds good, the magazine is not matching to the gun, but that's not worth loosing your sleep over. Perhaps finding a e/655 loading tool + 41 dated holster is the next step? |

Jackpot!!!!!!!!!! Mind telling how you obtained it??
My first adult era Luger, a 1917 DWM, came to the door with an old drag racing buddy.........neither of us were old then, 1961. This is the one that hooked me. A super nice match mag 1937, a Portugese M-2 and a 1906 French came to the door also, in the '70's. I bought two from a county prosecutor in Ten. whose name was Davey Crockett...... in the '80's. Must be a lot of interesting stories about 'how I got this gun' out there!!!!!! |
