Re: 1918 Luger Holster on eBay (Item # 1027796067)
Albert, See Walter's "The Luger Book" page 157 for the various possible meaning of "LZA". I tend to favor the military leather supply office, definition. Tom

Definitely a nice holster Albert, but way out of my price range...
by the time it is sold, it will probably go for enough money to buy a shooter Luger!
Good luck, John |
Re: 1918 Luger Holster on eBay (Item # 1027796067)
My East Berlin college roommate would tell you, "leather things office", aka, Leder Zeug Amt (LZA). A common term for things, especially military things, is zeug according to him.
Only research can confirm the true identity of this acronym, though. dave |
Unbelievible Price!
Can you believe that this holster fetched $541.00 on eBay - it's a beautiful holster, but I could never imagine that it would go through the roof!

Re: Unbelievible Price!
I've been watching for some time now, and it appears that if you part out lugers, you can get better prices for them then as a beat up mismatched shooter!
Holsters and parts go for ok to high prices, all depending on how many joes bet on them, or get a bit excited. Ed |
