I didn't want to shoot my 1918 Double-Dated...and i've always wanted a 6", but could not find/afford a Navy, and probably would not want to shoot it, if I could find one worth buying...

So I made my own! It's mine, to shoot. Not trying to fool anyone. I hope I didn't hurt anyones' feelings about purity...

What does anyone think?

Thanks for any feedback !!:bigbye:

Looks like Gale Morgan's work, at a fraction of the cost maybe?

Nice Shooter. I really enjoy my 6 inch shooter also!

Nice looking pistols. I also have a 6" shooter, a commercial version that has been refurbished and an after-market barrel installed.
One thing I notice on mine is that it seems to have more barrel lift on recoil than either a 4" barreled version or my 8" artillery. Either of you folks notice that?
Also, Tryceman, what do you know about your holster? Have any idea where it was made or when. I just picked up one like it, no marks on it, I'm thinking maybe it's made in China.
Thanks, barr

It would be news to me if that holster was made in C. I did not see any in Beijing. There were replica C96/Nambu/Tokarev holsters, replica of Rolex, replica of LV, .... so far, still understandable, and replica of cigarettes (this one is not easily understandable), tons after tons of them, but I did not see any Luger related stuffs. But who knows, dealers might find there were not attractive in the local market so they did not carry those, and dumped those overseas to make some money.

nice 6 inch, I have had several. I never noticed more recoil, usually less.

I believe the holsters are made in Pakistan, but don't know for sure.

thanks,
no before pics as such, it's a buildup...
I did the blueing with Van's cold blue for now, seems to work very well to date.
As for the strwing, I utilized the strawing guidelines posted here in the forum...worked awsome!! Really amazing how well that comes out
