Ortigies German Erfurt .25cal pistol for review, help is also needed

Hello everyone,

I recently got this German Erfurt .25 Ortigies pistol. I don't know much about it so I was wondering if any forum members could tell me a bit more about it. It is a nice little pistol but I think there might be a problem with the striker pin-spring. Please have a look, is this correct? Any comments are appreciated.

This spring looks like a mess, and the gun doesn't seem to go back all the way. Could this be the problem, it is a spring inside another spring... this can't be correct.

No, that does not look right at all. Go to this site for an exploded parts view: http://www.marstar.ca/images/ortppb.gif

Thanks Ron,

Well I took out that small spring on the inside, but it looks like that one spring-guide pin has been missing for a long time...

Any idea where I could find such a pin? I will check the marstar parts list, then I might have to start asking around.

Thanks for the help,
Rylan

Well, you could try Numrich gun parts in West Hurley NY. On their web site they list the firing pin spring guide as part #491230B at a cost of $3.40. Their site says their toll free number is 1-866-686-7424. Perhaps they would have it in stock.

If that doesn't work you could list your need in the "wanted to buy" section of the Forum, or on Jan Still's web site, etc.

Hope it works out for you.

Another option is our own Lugerdoc, Tom Heller.
His email is hellerarms@webtv.net

He may have what you need as he parts out all kinds of pistols.
