Correct Finish for a 42 1940 Date
 

I have an import marked, 42 toggle, 1940 chamber date Luger.

Serial # is 6226 suffix "b"

Is the correct finish an overall blue or were the typical parts strawed at this date?

Hi Doug,

All parts should be Salt blued. Strawing and Rust bluing ceased in early 1937.
