Question On Full Auto #9

There is a picture of a full auto LP 08 on page 68-69 of the " Luger Artiglieria" by Mauro Baudino.

Can any one tell me what the proof mark is on the right side?
There appears to be only one, and I would really like to know what that one proof is?

A clear picture would be nice too, if thats not too much to ask?

thanks

Vern

I tried using a magnifying glass, but it was just too indistinct. Your best bet might be to see if Mauro can help or maybe he can put you in touch with Paul Regnier since it's part of his collection.

For those who wish to contact Paul Regnier:
Mr. Regnier's English is limited so a written communique is usually best.
For what it's worth. I know where there is a factory full auto Luger in the Palm Beach area here in Florida. I can ask the owner about any markings, if there is interest.

Doug Andrews, (alanint)

Thank you!

Just for clarification is the "K" by itself or is it a Crown K?

Thanks--I thought that is what I saw but couldnt tell for sure.

An update on the full auto Luger I know of in South Florida;
The owner reports that it is believed to be a conversion by a Polish designer. The conversion, as I recall after seeing it, is extremely ingenious.

There will be extensive coverage of it, along with many other Lugers, in a forthcoming book to be published by English collector Geroff Sturgess.Should be out soon!
