LP 1918 Police luger
Posted for those who collect such info (Donmaus):
http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?t=46519 I do not know the seller or anything about the guns. Jack |
Thanks Jack.
The seller or a friend of his received quite a bit of advice about this pistol on Jan Still's forum (http://luger.gunboards.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=15173), virtually all of which he ignored. |
Couldn't resist setting things straight...
|
Ron, I am glad you did. I just don't get it, he comes on a major forum, says he doesn't know anything or care about lugers, we give him advice that is accurate and ....
well, this reminds me of a story. My wife worked in the veterinary field for years, people would come in and she'd give them good, solid advice and the idiots would listen and then say, but my neighbor (a plumber or what have you) said that it was probably this condition..... ed |
Ed,
The way he had it worded, it sounded like he was shucking us off as not knowing what it was. I just wanted to reassure him, and drop a hint to anyone who read his post, that we do indeed know what we're talking about. And that any doubt should be erased from his beady little brain. Ron |
Clearly, he thinks an "all matching" Luger that belonged to a "blimp forward observer" will sell better than a mismatched pistol from a county mounty ("Landelei"!!??) in the Potsdam district. He's probably right.

I didn't catch the thread on Jan's.
That's what livin' in NYC does to you... it's a sort of dimented fantasyland. You can say anything you want, and you'll find at least two other people who agree with you. Thanks for the laugh, Jack |
Hey Don,
The Blimp Dudes are way "COOL!!" While them "LANDELEI" dudes ain't. |
He can't be too dumb. He chose not to try to sell it on this or Jan's forum.
