Title of movie with Bob Mitchum & a Luger

All I remember about this was at the end of the movie he's trapped on a boat with the bad guys and he finds, loads and uses a Luger to save the day. Probably one of his film noir classics from the 1940s-1950s. The problem was he was in a lot of them. Thanks!

Well I admit this was a pretty-dumb subject for a post but when I can't think of something it bugs me. I think that the title of the movie is "His Kind of Woman" with Mitchum, Jane Russel and Raymond Burr as the heavy. I'll have to get it from Netflix to see for sure.

John,

Not a dumb subject at all, see this thread http://forum.lugerforum.com/showthre...threadid=14518

That said, a movie as you describe is not in the list, so if you find out the details, please post them (and frame grabs, if possible) so they can be added.

Thanks Dwight,

Well I got the movie from Netflix - I'm not sure what to make of it - Jane Russell looks great and it has Vincent Price in it as a famous actor but it's screwy - I can't tell if it was supposed to be a comedy or a bad drama? Anyway there are ALOT of different guns beings used both rifles and handguns including a luger at the end that is used by Mitchum to take out the bad guy - that's the good news. The bad news is that I have to learn how to do a screen capture - never have done one before. Give me a couple of days.

Robert Mitchum and his trusty luger:

Loading and a closer look:

Looking into the magazine - Looks pretty real to me:

I watched the movie again - it's ok but I can't recommend it and the luger makes a brief but significant appearance at the very end.
