16 inch long barrel commercial 1923
Hi All,
I have in my possion the above luger it is a mismatch the frame being #878 marked germany the top is #1454, the barrel is marked Germany on the left side under the rear sight again this was one of Harry McTeague,s guns and again it is about75-80%, also the side plate and take dowd lever are mis matches. Can anyone here tell me about this lugar and a value, it seems that i cant get a clear pic any one here at please feel free to contact me 1-801-603-3822 thanks Nick:eek: |
Nick, does it look like this;
http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/img_4240.jpg Or does it look like an actual carbine. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ercarbine1.jpg Or does it just have a long barrel? Many lugers could be ordered with "long" barrels during the 1920's and early 1930's and they are just long barreled lugers. (please note the spelling of the gun) Value depends on what it is, a long barrel luger, $1200-$2000 Pictures are the only way to really 'guess" at a value without seeing it in person. ed |

Ed,
the long barrel looks like the one in Kenyons book, like i stated before the gun is mis matched ,as Rick W wrote it could be indeed an after market barrel , i dont know this is another gun from the late Harry McTeague,s collection, my friend bought his whole collection gun,s artillery rigs and other lugar holsters all the collection of guns are for sale if interested contact me Nick 801-603-3822 8am-8pm mst |
