magazine question?
 

I've just purchase a couple of wood bottom luger magazines which have serial numbers on them.
I was wondering if wood bottom mags. were serial numbered. All of the ones I've seen usually don't have serial numbers.
One also has a + below the serial number. The mags look to be tin or nickel plated, but I'm not sure which. I have enclosed a couple of photos.
I'm curious as to whether or not these mags. are original or some after product. There are no marks on the metal of the mag. anywhere.

The magazines are original. Military magazines were numbered, commercial magazines were not. The + indicates that the magazine was the spare (2nd) magazine issued for the pistol.

I appreciate the reply. I thought that they just looked too good, to be original. Is there any way to determine whether they are nickel or tinned? They are both very shiny, but that doesn't tell me much. I have some that I believe to be tinned and they show a lot more wear and are somewhat duller, but I'm not sure that's a good comparison.
