Opinion on Navy luger 1940

I would like to get some input for the experts on whether this is an original Navy or a put together.
This is the first time I have posted photos on this site and could not figure out how to post more than one. So my wife made a collage of the photos.
Thanks for you assistance,
Al

Al,
Use the "ADD REPLY" button that will pop up a new window for your post and you can add multiple individual images just by repeated use of the "IMG" button. Just keep selecting it and pasting in the URL of each uploaded pic one at a time. The individual pics in your collage are way too small to be able to judge much about your Luger. I can see that the rear grip strap has a unit marking for "Ostsee" (East Sea) issue, and that is a good start at authenticating Navy use.

Thanks for the tip on posting photos. I am still learning how to take and post photos.
Thanks for the input,
Al

Looks suspect to me...property numbers are poorly stamped!!

Where, geographically, is this Luger coming from? I too think the property mark is suspect.

Al
All the 1940 dated Navy Lugers that I have examined have a pantographed property number. These numbers look stamped! Probably a poor attempt to add value to a 1940 dated luger.

I am in eastern NC.
I appreciate all the replies on the luger. I am a little disapointed on the out come. I was hoping that it was the real deal. Oh well, you win some and you lose some.
Thanks again,
Al
