Hold-open fitted after 1913
Hi All,
On page 31 of Jan C.Still new book Central Powers Pistols It is stated that in 1913 Lugers that were not manufactured with a hold-open were retrofitted with a hold-open by Erfurt rifle Factory and a pin was added to secure the hold-open. Where can I look for this pin, is it visible from the outside of the frame or it is in the inside? Thank You all. Alf. |
Alf,
Here you go. The pin should be in the white. the photos are of an early (no stock lug) 1913 Erfurt. http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/120_2076.jpg http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/120_2078.jpg Ron |

Let me thank you too Ron... I would have spent a hour or more going through my photo archive and probably wouldn't have come up with photos that are that good. :)
