1916 Luger DWM P08. Unit Mark?..see Pictures
 

Hi. sir...i have 1916 luger DWM P08..all matching number. Ser# 17XX and front of grip has unit mark....someone can tell me about this unit mark? and is more value with unit mark? " R.J.R. 65 8.K.5 " (RJR is big letter: 3/8 inch, 65 and K is med.size, 8,5 is small.)

hi. sir... i took my 1916 luger DWM P08 9mm to shooting range...fire about 30 round, hit center of target (most shots)...... i shoot lot a pistols...this luger is BEST....no kick, no jam, 100 year old pistol is simple best pistol i ever have....thank you

where can i buy NEW LUGER???? is HK luger???

Please identify where you live... Krieghoff is making new Lugers, but they will be $12 - 15 Thousand dollars at last report. You may find some Mauser Lugers still new that were made in the 1970's depending on where you live.

Depending on the R font cursive or standard you may have a reserve Jager or a reserve infantry regiment. Can you post pictures of the grip strap markings? If I remember right your MOS is a armorer.

Army is 45B.....USMC 2111......Armorer....desert storm Vet....

R.J.R. 65 8.K.5 .........all standard font.....

R.J.R. 65 8.K.5 signifies: Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment 65, 8 Kompagnie, Waffe no 5.
