How do you install the ejector ?

Good evening,

Broke the ejector on my 08 luger last week. Have a new one but need some instructions on securing it back into the luger.

Would appreciate any help.

Thanks

David, Sometimes the center lug will need to be fieled on the leading edge in order for the rear lug to snap in. TH

I bought a replacement ejector from Numrich so I could keep my original #58 ejector in reserve. I rarely shoot this 1918 Erfurt, but don't want to risk damaging critical parts, so I'm replacing them. I had difficulty getting the middle lug to seat deeply enough, so I filed a bit off the leading edge ( a little at a time until it would enter). It never did enter completely, bows out in the middle, and won't seat. When I apply pressure to the ejector inside the receiver it falls out. I know this one is probably beyond hope, but is there a recommended brand of replacement? I've never had a problem removing/replacing the original ejector. Snapped right in.
I fit a repro extractor without too much trouble, and it fits fine.
Where can I get a decent ejector without the expense of an original?

CB, All of the repro PO8 ejectors are slightly oversized and require some fitting of the center lug &/or overall length. I think that you're on the right track, just keep at it. TH
