Need help with markings..
hello Gentlemen,
I am considering to buy a luger holster, ww1, no readable maker stamp or date, but only these markings inside the flap (dixit the seller): oc.A.G.G.R.4. II.B I am travelling abroad now and I do not have my archives and books with me.. Can anybody help to identify these markings please ? Thank you very much ! christian |
Christian,
Is oc. part of the mark? If so, it is oc.(?) Abteilung (detachment) Garde Grenadier Regiment 4, 2nd Battalion. Is it possible that oc. is a partial number? If it is then it could be Number ? Artillery rather than Abteilung. A very interesting mark. Holster marks are difficult to translate as they are often marked in different format than weapons. Ron |
Ron,
many thanks for your help ! I cannot get more information now about this beautiful holster. I do the necessary to buy it, and, if I am the winner, I will post some pics when I am back home, in March. Thanks again !! christian |
