Curt,

Bidding frenzy for the most part. It's in very nice condition. Not all that perfect, but the seller uses flattering photos and a good presentation. It's not worth even close to that much in my opinion.

If being overpriced by 2 or 3 times is "not worth even close to that", then I totally agree. Somebody has more money than knowledge and/or they are going to have a real case of buyer's remorse when they realize what they have spent.

P.T.Burnum was right.

That link isn't working for me... can anyone post the correct link for this holster?

beachbaker 01-31-2008 10:39 AM

John, it is really strange but the listing has been deleted off ebay already. I do not believe I have ever seen that happen before on their site this quickly. Curt

Did the listing have any "objectionable markings' shown in the auction? ...like maybe a swastika? That would make them take it down fast.

John,

No, it was just a nice looking (not worth the $1500+ final price) 1916 brown Luger holster. The seller is "Pcay", he sells a lot of high end swords , daggers and Hirschfangers.

No, it was I think a very nice, tan 1915 Luger holster in excellent shape that went for over $1700.

beachbaker 01-31-2008 10:49 AM

Okay, it was a 1916 I was trying to remember the year

Zamo 01-31-2008 07:24 PM

$1700? I hope the seller throws in a Luger to go with it...
