Military .22 conversion kit

I collected this .22 military conversion kit along with it's erma K98 .22 conversion equivalent this week.

I know there are post war examples, however, is the waffenant variety common?

It has complete matching numbers #4423a
Eagle over 280 & EE within circle toggle stamp.

Even the two lock nuts are stamped.

A local piece, all from the same gent, who saved them at the end of the occupation.

Brendan,

If it was in the original wooden waffenamt marked box, the value would be $1000-$1500 here in the States. As is, I would guess $800 or so.

Just a personal matter of curiosity... how does the ejection work on the .22 conversion. Does it use the standard ejector, or is some other device used to expel the empties?

Thanks for the explanation Pat!

Would it be possible for someone to post a good clear photo of the boltface of the breechblock on a .22 conversion kit?

Thanks

John - Hope this is clear enough.

That's great Bill... now could you post a photo of a regular ERMA type conversion kit bolt to compare to your photo?

I am evaluating the items that Ed Tinker posted for design. It is definitely a one-of-a-kind like yours... uses a totally different type bolt welded and machined from a regular breechblock. I will post photos of it as soon as I can.

The photo is of a ERMA conversion bolt face.. The 1900 conversion is under Commercial PO 8. The photo of the ERMA is from a post war boxed conversion kit. On the wooden box cover ERMA-Einstecksystem SE08/2 Kal.22 long rifle. If you need anything else just ask. Bill

Thanks so much Bill... I think you will find the photo that I will post of the attempted conversion to .22 caliber really interesting. I will try to post the photo this weekend. First I will have to find my camera... :D

How about about a photo of the bottom of the bolt? That would also be helpful.

Here's a few more pictures. Will send you a copy of the ERMA parts list if you want. Just need your address by PM or whatever.
