1936 S/42 Question...
Hello everyone,
this is a quick question, I was looking over a Luger that a friend of mine owns. A Very nice 1936 S/42 with a matching mag, however the mag is a silverish color. I told him that it was in my opinion that at some point his mag was nickle plated, and that was not done war time. I told him I am not an expert, so I would find out for him. So were there any silver colored mags used in the Third Reich time period? More importantly used on a 1936 S/42. Thanks for the help! |
Rylan,
According to Aaron Davis, it should be Tin plated(which is silver colored) up through the "m" serial block, then blued. Mike C. |
Thanks, I will pass that info on to him.
