Hello and questions about refinished
Here is a picture of my three:
http://lh6.google.com/picturetest06/...0/DSC_2120.JPG 1940 Code 42 1937 S/42 1917 Art I have owned the bottom two for a while now and happened upon the 1940 at a gun show this past weekend. It seems to be in really great shape (almost too good) which makes me wonder if it has been refinished. All numbers including the magazine match up. http://lh3.google.com/picturetest06/...0/DSC_2112.JPG http://lh3.google.com/picturetest06/...0/DSC_2115.JPG http://lh3.google.com/picturetest06/...0/DSC_2114.JPG What do you think? |
Allan, welcome to the forum. I think we'd need close ups to determine if it was a reblue or not.
From these pictures, its either a very nice reblue or in very nice shape! You do find these in really nice shape, but I have seen a lot of nicely restored ones also, Ed |
Welcome Allan,
looks like a very shiny barrel and at the same time wear on the frame. But from the pictures it's difficult to see.. If you use a different background than white and perhaps use natural daylight instead of flash, it could be easier to see. Nice Lugers btw :) |
