Ron
Excellent display. After many years of searching I finally found one. You are lucky enough to have two and a rarer holster.
Thanks for posting

Consecutive numbered too Ron, that is an accomplishment.

lVery nice holster. Much simular to mine. Left handed, no initials on the flap, The only difference I can see, is a variation in color, Mine is posted somewhere. Ill try to post a closeup. Maybe Dwight might know, how many holsters have been accounted for. Just E-Me Ill send you some real closeups. snookem13@aol.com

Has anyone determined why some test holsters bore initials on the bottom of the flap, A.J.L. , such as seen on page 403, and others like mine do not. Where the possibly added later, on delivery to a particular post? Ill see if Jerry Burney might know.

As Ed says..' Quite an accomplishment'. A class act all the way around.

Not only a great feat to get consecutive numbered TE's but to display them and photograph them so well, we can only display envy!

Great picture and wonderful pieces of history. To gather two consecutive 1900 test lugers is an amazing accomplishment. Thanks for sharing.

Mr. Ron,

Must be quite a story of how you aquired not only 2 Test Eagles, but consecutive numbered eagles. Whoa!!! You be da Man! Terrific.

Hi Ron,

Is it just the angle of the image or are the front sites different?

Jack

Ron Wood 12-19-2007 11:42 AM

Jack,
The front sights are the same

Thanks Ron. It is the same sight that is on my pre-test Eagle #5643. I, for some strange reason had, in my mind, thought my sight was incorrect. Glad to see it is correct.

Jack
