Enjoyable Import byf 41
I know to purists, an import is not at connosieur level. In that I have other all matching pistols, I don't mind this in my collection, as I tend to keep it out on the mantle, so I can handle it at will, without having to go to the safe.
It is: all matching frame and parts byf 41, with a replacement crown/N barrel, AND (are you ready??....) the dreaded import mark on the barrel !! AND....(I love this part)...I believe a Russian capture, as it has an X stamped above the serial # on the frame. The original walnut grips were so nice with aged color, I actually took them off, and put these walnuts on, so to not damage the others, as I handle the pistol quite a bit. Here it is with a cdg 41 holster. http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/img_0286.jpg http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/img_0288.jpg http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload....08_byf_41.jpg |
I don't find import marks as irritating as a reblue (although I own both) ;)
Nice byf, lots of history there :) Ed |
