I have a '41 byf just like those. Just finally got a magazine for it last week.I wrote about the gun about a year ago on here. The gunsmith said it looked like it has not been reblued. The original blueing and is in great shape, almost in mint condition. I shot it last weekend, I figure the first time it has been shot in over 50 years. The man who gave it to me never got a magazine for it because he didn't he should shoot it. I am going to see him this weekend and have him shoot it I told him I wanted him to shoot it when I got the magazine. Man did this thing shoot great. I shot a beer can at about 20' on the first try, then stepped back to about 40' and hit it again. Did I fall in love with it after that. Thinking about using it to get my conceled handgun permit. Had to check my gun cabinet, the pistol on the left looks just like mine. Great pictures, if I knew how to post a picture I would. Catch yall later. Larry S

Hi:

I have one just like yours. It was a Norwegian capture Luger and looked like it was hardly used when I bought it.

Mine is so accurate it is frightening sometimes, particularly with the right handloads.

Enjoy!!

I won't carry it just use it to get permit mainly because it is so accurate and its the only automatic pistol I have. After I get my permit then I will get another because they are easier to buy then.
It's funny you said a minkey could do it because my mom was a Menke. I will still have to get my daughter to help.
As for the accuracy I was shooting PMC loads. I still can't believe how well it shoot. Do all lugers shoot this good?

Hi:

When the springs are "right" and with proper loads (given a barrel in new condition) your answer is:

YES!!!

Very nice Lugers.

Very nice photo:cool:

I've fired a P08 with a pretty ugly barrel yet still it was precise! So even if they look bad they (can) still shoot well.
