Artillery Serial Number Question

I just bought a Artillery mismatch with 1916/1920 chamber dates.
The serial number is 8935M. Does that match up with 1916?

It shoots really well for being a mixmaster. I count 5 different numbers & none repeat.

Jan Still, in his new book "Central Power Pistols" (coming out next month...) on page 101 lists the estimated production of 20,000 1916-dated LP-08's as running in the no-suffix, a, b,...through e-suffix range.

A m-suffix does not seem to fit...for an 1916 arty...

Interesting. Maybe they are using a commercial frame with an artillery upper?
Possible?

SS109,
the commercial Lugers typically will have a five digit serial number. Looking at Jan Stills, 'Imperial Lugers' book pg 15, I see 1916 P-08's having a 'm' suffix but not the 1916 LP-08's. The 1917 LP-08's has a 'm' suffix. The 1917 and the 1918 P-08's have 'm' suffixes.
