45 luger made in Austria?
1 Attachment(s)
I saw this web site today,
www.rjholloway.co.uk/modern_pistols.htm which describes a 45 caliber luger made by the Nedbal Co in Austria in 1999. It's in a case and is 3 of 10 manufactured. I wasn't aware than anyone other than Krause Werks that was making the 45 luger. Is this a Krause 45 luger just marketed by this European firm? Interesting photos Ray |
It's like seeing a nice woman.. and then come to realize that it's just a blow up doll :(
I would haggle a little on the 12000GBP (24 470USD) price tag.. 10 of the rounds in the display case clairly has been used |
Steiner, John Marz is buliding similar shooter .45 lugers here in the Us in the $5K to $6K range. On the other hand, Mike Krause's .45s @$15K are exact copies of the 1907 Test lugers and more collectors than shooters. TH

Tac, don't get me wrong.. his work is truly fantastic! that's the thing. It's hard to imagine that it's actually a gun and is made out of brass. (hence the comparison)
As to the other comment.. something about price and the used brass that goes with the Luger.. promise to work on my humor :p Tom, is Mr Marz .45's not a copy of the test Lugers, but a design of his own? (that's the one that will hopefully be within my reach some day..) |
Tac, does he also makes 45's that go bang and sends out a lump of lead? ..for a marked where such activities are legal?

amazing.. wish there was a gunsmith like him here in norway

Steinar, The Martz .45 lugers are made from original PO8 parts with 2 frames welded together and reengineered to work flawlessly with the new .45 barrel. Since he's been making these for many years now, I would imagine that there are a few in Euroland alread, that maybe easier for you to purchase, that importing from the US. Tom
