My first Luger G date
Greetings,
I am new to this forum. Here are some pictures of my first Luger. Any advice, information, or comments are welcome. I paid 800 for it and I believe it is all original except for the two mismatched parts. No import marks. Thoughts? Best, Joe http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s...a/P9300157.jpg http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s...a/P9300160.jpg http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s...a/P9300161.jpg http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s...a/P9300155.jpg http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s...a/P9300148.jpg http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s...a/P9300150.jpg http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s...a/P9300151.jpg |
Nice looking "G" date to bad about the mismatched parts. But looks like a great gun. The "G" dates getting harder to find.
|
What are the "G" dates? and around what year would that be?
|
Oh wait, I just looked it up. Would this be a year code for 1935?
|
There are 3 "letter" year dates, S date = Krieghoff, Mauser K date = 1934 and G dates = 1935
well worth the $800, I would have bought it in an instant. |
It is a bummer the two parts are not the same. I find it odd that they both match though. Wonder how this happened....
