My first Luger G date

Greetings,

I am new to this forum. Here are some pictures of my first Luger. Any advice, information, or comments are welcome.

I paid 800 for it and I believe it is all original except for the two mismatched parts. No import marks. Thoughts?

Best,

Joe

Nice looking "G" date to bad about the mismatched parts. But looks like a great gun. The "G" dates getting harder to find.

What are the "G" dates? and around what year would that be?

RylanBrissette 10-05-2007 08:15 PM

Oh wait, I just looked it up. Would this be a year code for 1935?

Edward Tinker 10-05-2007 08:57 PM

There are 3 "letter" year dates, S date = Krieghoff, Mauser K date = 1934 and G dates = 1935

well worth the $800, I would have bought it in an instant.

It is a bummer the two parts are not the same. I find it odd that they both match though. Wonder how this happened....
