Fixed my grip at safety lever

Here are a few shots of my repair on the famous safety bar chip. The close up exagerates the bad checkering job. This is my second one to do with no problems so far. I am using Beech to repair them also. On this one I can sand a bit more to lower the higher checkers and it will not show as bad.
When you look at it in person it looks allot better. Rick B { A.K.A. Stock Doc}

And a shot of my shop where I have now added Luger grip repairs to. The messiest room in the house hahaha.

Hello Rick,

Your repair to the grip looks very neat and I like your shop too! We all need a place of solitude to do what we enjoy.

Best Regards,

Hi Rick

Very nice job, wish I had your skills!

Hi:

Very creative.

A chipped grip does really look bad on a Luger.

Thanks guys. When ever I do a repair I take the least amount of wood away I can to get a repair in. If I have to contour something in to make it right I do.

The grip fix is fairly easy compared to many of the repairs I do. Putting a complete side on a stock is one of my hardest next is the new front ends on sporterized rifles. Inlaying is the easiest and chunked out areas.

I can fix these if anyone cares to have it done and I can fit it in-between my other work { I have a day job} for free. You pay shipping is all I ask. Rick B
